2026 BMW XM To Debut With 748bhp! All Details Here
The 2026 BMW XM has been introduced before its official appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 14. This new model comes with a streamlined lineup and minor updates. The base trim has been removed, leaving only the XM Label and XM 50e variants. Notably, the XM Label is the sole variant featuring a V8 powertrain.
Powertrain
The XM Label is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system that includes a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 19.2kWh battery pack. The V8 generates 585 bhp, while the electric motor adds up to 197bhp, resulting in a total output of 748bhp and 1,000Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful BMW M production model to date.

Performance & Speed
This SUV can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. However, with the optional M Driver's Package, buyers can increase this limit to 290 km/h.
Among the limited updates for this SUV, BMW has enhanced the AC charging rate from 7.4 kW to 11 kW. Although this should enable faster charging times, official figures have not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
Design & Interior Features
The exterior of the XM Label showcases an illuminated BMW M kidney grille and twin LED headlamps with sleek LED DRLs. The taillamps are L-shaped with LED elements, while hexagonal exhaust pipes are vertically stacked. A new exterior colour option is available: BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic.
The interior offers three new Merino leather options: Night Blue Full Merino Leather with Vintage Coffee accents, Black Full Merino leather with Vintage Coffee accents, and Silverstone Extended Merino leather with Black accents. Comfort cushions in matching colours are standard for all themes.
Technology & Equipment
The dashboard features a one-piece BMW Curved Display combining a 12.3-inch instrument panel with a 14.9-inch infotainment display offering wireless connectivity. The sound system includes a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and a 1,475-watt amplifier.
Standard equipment includes wireless charging, four-zone automatic climate control, hands-free tailgate operation, keyless entry, and more. Buyers can choose between standard 22-inch alloys or opt for new customisable Jet Black finished 23-inch M Light alloy wheels.
Pricing & Availability
The starting price for the BMW XM 50e is €133,800 (Rs 1.31 crore), whereas the top-tier XM Label is priced at €183,400 (Rs 1.80 crore). Currently, India offers an older variant of the XM priced at Rs 2.60 crore (ex-showroom). The updated SUV will first be available in Europe before arriving in India.
