2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz Now Available With Comprehensive Charging Plan From Electrify Canada
Volkswagen Canada has begun delivering the all-new, all-electric ID. Buzz to customers across the nation. This vehicle merges classic design elements with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, creating a distinctive look. The ID. Buzz features a prominent VW logo and offers a blend of retro and modern aesthetics. It provides Canadians with a unique, electric take on the traditional people-mover.
The ID. Buzz is powered by a 91 kWh battery, delivering 282 horsepower in rear-wheel drive models. For those opting for the 4MOTIONĀ® all-wheel-drive version, the vehicle offers up to 335 horsepower. Seating configurations allow for either six or seven passengers, depending on the drivetrain choice. Customers can personalise their vehicles with various exterior colours and interior "colour worlds."
In partnership with Electrify Canada, Volkswagen is offering new ID. Buzz owners a charging plan that includes 1,400 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of complimentary DC fast charging. This plan is valid for up to four years from purchase or lease date, providing convenience across Electrify Canada's expanding network of over 200 stations in seven provinces.
The charging plan incorporates Plug&Charge functionality, enabling drivers to start charging without needing a wallet or smartphone. By simply plugging in at Electrify Canada stations, the process begins automatically. New owners are advised to download the Electrify Canada app to manage their charging plans and locate stations easily.
Electrify Canada's DC fast chargers are designed to accommodate the ID. Buzz's maximum DC acceptance rate of 200 kW. This allows the high-voltage battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes or provide up to 130 km of range in just 10 minutes.*
