2025 Skoda Octavia RS Launched At ₹49.99 Lakh - You Can't Buy One
Czech carmaker Skoda has launched the 2025 Octavia RS in India at ₹49.99 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing back the brand's performance sedan in limited numbers. Only 100 units of the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS have been allocated for the country, and all have already been sold out.
Bookings opened on October 6, and the company confirmed that every unit was spoken for within days. Deliveries for the new Octavia RS are set to begin on November 6, 2025. The new 2025 Skoda Octavia RS returns as a fully imported model.
Under the bonnet, the 2025 Octavia RS uses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 265PS and 370Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Power is sent to the front wheels, enabling a 0-100km/h sprint in 6.4 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250km/h.
Skoda says the RS features recalibrated suspension geometry, quicker steering, and larger brakes for sharper dynamics. An electronic differential lock enhances traction during hard cornering, and the ride height of the Octavia RS has been lowered for improved handling and a sportier visual stance.
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS sports a sharper, more athletic design compared to its standard counterpart. The gloss-black butterfly grille features the signature RS badge, flanked by Matrix LED headlamps with distinctive V-shaped DRLs. Its sculpted bumpers and aerodynamic body kit add to the car's aggressive stance.
The Octavia RS sports 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels and red brake callipers. The rear is highlighted by darkened LED tail lamps, a gloss-black spoiler, and blacked-out Skoda and RS badges that underline its performance DNA.
The Octavia RS' cabin introduces an all-black theme with red contrast stitching. There is an RS-branded steering wheel, metallic pedals, and sport seats upholstered in Suede and leatherette upholstery.
A large 13-inch infotainment touchscreen sits alongside a 10.25-inch digital driver display. The Octavia RS also features a 12-speaker Canton audio system, three-zone climate control, a wireless charging pad with cooling, powered front seats with memory and massage functions, and gesture-controlled tailgate operation.
Safety and driver-assistance features include 10 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC, ABS with EBD, hydraulic brake assist, and auto park assist. It also gets advanced driver aids such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring, further strengthening its credentials as a high-performance daily driver.
The Octavia RS will sit in a niche performance segment, rivaling the likes of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, and Audi A4 in terms of performance and price positioning. With all 100 units already sold, Skoda's limited-run strategy highlights the continued demand for the RS badge among enthusiasts in India.
