2025 Skoda Octavia RS India Launch Details Revealed - 265PS, 250km/h Top Speed

Czech carmaker Skoda has revealed that the 2025 Octavia RS will be launched in India in November, arriving as a fully imported CBU and offered in a single, fully equipped variant. The upcoming return of the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS marks the return of Skoda's go-faster sedan after a while away.

The new Skoda Ovtavia RS, first shown in India at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, draws power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 265 PS and 370 Nm of peak torque. The Octavia RS' engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox, driving the front wheels.

Skoda claims that the Octavia RS will sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The Octavia RS features an electronic limited-slip differential to help with traction, especially when the car is pushed through tight bends at speed.

Underpinning the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is a tuned chassis package. The RS sits 15mm lower than the regular Octavia and uses firmer dampers to reduce body roll. Steering is recalibrated for better feedback, and the overall setup aims to balance everyday comfort with more dynamic handling.

The visual upgrades to the RS compared to regular Octavia are subtle but quite easy to spot. The Octavia RS sports gloss black trim replacing chrome, a redesigned front grille with RS badging and air intakes. The Octavia RS sports Matrix LED headlamps as standard, while the rear features an integrated diffuser and twin exhaust tips.

The cabin of the Octavia RS picks up "RS" detailing on the sports seats trimmed in suede and artificial leather, along with red contrast stitching and aluminium pedals. RS logos also appear on the steering wheel and seatbacks, while the interior maintains the layout of the regular Octavia.

Tech and convenience options on the Octavia RS include a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and adaptive cruise control. Optional equipment options include a Canton premium audio system and dynamic chassis control for selectable driving modes.

The Octavia RS features ten airbags (yes, ten) and a wide array of driver assistance systems.(ADAS) and features like Driver Drowsiness Detection, Multi-Collision Brake, and Crew Protect Assist.

Pricing will reflect the CBU route and import duties, pushing the Octavia RS into a premium bracket. Early market estimates place the car around ₹50 lakh ex-showroom, which will pit it against the Volkswagen Golf GTI (on which it is based) when it arrives in November.
