2025 Skoda Octavia AWD: Performance Specs & Other Key Features
The 2025 Skoda Octavia AWD, a notable addition to the global market, comes equipped with a robust 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. This powertrain is capable of generating a maximum power output of 201 bhp and a peak torque of 320 Nm, marking a significant improvement of 14 bhp over its predecessor.
This vehicle, notable for its acceleration, can move from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds for the hatchback variant and 6.7 seconds for the estate version. Its top speed is an impressive 228 kmph.

Skoda has introduced an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system in the 2025 Octavia, enhancing its performance and versatility. This system includes an electrohydraulically controlled multi-plate clutch positioned between the axles. It operates in conjunction with sensors that constantly monitor driving conditions to achieve optimal power distribution.
Depending on the situation, up to 100% of the torque can be redirected to the rear axle. When traction is evenly distributed across all wheels, the clutch ensures a balanced torque allocation of up to 50:50 between the front and rear axles. The integration of electronic EDS and XDS systems further boosts the vehicle's torque transfer capabilities. This advanced all-wheel drive system not only improves handling but also increases the vehicle's towing capacity to 1,900 kg.
In other news, the Skoda Kodiaq is on the brink of receiving a generational update and was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 Auto Expo earlier this year. With the upcoming launch, the current model has been withdrawn from Skoda's official website in India.
The Kodiaq, previously the flagship vehicle for Skoda in India, was sold at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and was available in the Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant. It featured a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, offering a peak power of 187 bhp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm.
DriveSpark Thinks
Despite the advancements and the introduction of all-wheel drive in the Octavia globally, Skoda currently does not plan to bring this AWD powertrain to the Indian market. The global market benefits from the Octavia in both estate and hatchback forms, with bookings now open and deliveries expected to commence in the coming weeks. However, Indian consumers can look forward to the new generation Kodiaq, alongside the existing models such as the Kylaq, Slavia, and Kushaq offered by Skoda in India.
