2025 Skoda Kodiaq Video Review: The Return Of The Flagship Big Bear
The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq SUV has finally hit our streets after making its debut at Auto Expo 2025. With prices ranging from Rs 46.89 lakh (Sportline) to Rs 48.69 lakh (L&K), ex-showroom, the new Kodiaq costs quite a pretty penny.
DriveSpark's Promeet Ghosh got into the driver's seat of the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq for a night drive through India's financial capital, Mumbai, to see just how much the big bear from the Czech Republic has changed in its second avatar. The video below showcases his first impressions of the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq after a few hours behind the wheel of the flagship Czech SUV.
The second-generation Kodiaq has seen Skoda update the formula that made us fall in love with this flagship family barge back when it first appeared in 2016. The new 2025 Kodiaq features a refined design which is longer and lower than before allowing it to cut through the air more smoothly.
The interior of the Skoda Kodiaq is where the biggest changes have occurred. The Kodiaq's cabin features a minimalist theme and a new dual-screen setup for the instrumentation and infotainment. The gear selector is now a lever on the steering column and three dials allow owners to control the functions of the infotainment screen and HVAC setups.

Under the bonnet, the new Kodiaq retains the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that now cranks out 201bhp and 320Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
So what do you think of DriveSpark's 2025 Skoda Kodiaq video review? Does the new Kodiaq still have the charm of its predecessor and are the changes enough for you to book your family bear at the nearest Skoda dealership?
