2025 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Launched In India At Rs 69.50 Lakh

JLR India has made an announcement regarding the introduction of the MY2025 Range Rover Evoque with its pricing starting from Rs 69.50 lakh for both its petrol and diesel variants. This model, which is brought into India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit, stands out by offering more features compared to the previously available Dynamic SE trim. The introduction of the higher-spec Evoque Autobiography, which costs Rs 1.6 lakh more than its predecessor, marks a significant update in the offerings for Range Rover enthusiasts in India.

The Evoque Autobiography, with a price tag positioned Rs 1.6 lakh above the earlier Dynamic SE version, brings with it a host of exciting features. Among these enhancements are a sliding panoramic sunroof, a sophisticated 14-speaker 650W Meridian audio system that includes a sub-woofer, and an increase in leather detailing across the dashboard and door interiors.

Customers also have the choice between "Cloud" or "Ebony" Windsor leather for the seat covers, adding a touch of personalisation to their vehicle. Additionally, the Autobiography variant boasts an electronically adjustable steering and a premium suedecloth roof liner, providing an elevated driving experience.

In the realm of exterior upgrades, the Autobiography variant distinguishes itself from the Dynamic SE trim with copper-finished lettering on both the bonnet and tailgate, in addition to Pixel LED headlights that feature signature Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). These enhancements not only augment the vehicle's aesthetic appeal but also contribute to its visibility and safety features.

Regarding its engine and performance, the 2025 Evoque maintains its competitive edge with mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engine options. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 250hp and 365Nm of torque, while the 2.0-litre diesel engine offers 204hp and 430Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and come standard with an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, ensuring a blend of power and efficiency for drivers.

When compared to its competitors, the 2025 Range Rover Evoque presents a compelling value proposition. With a starting price of Rs 69.50 lakh, it is more affordably priced than luxury SUVs such as the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Volvo XC60. This competitive pricing strategy positions the Evoque as an attractive option for those in the market for a luxury SUV, offering both prestige and performance at a more accessible price point.

In addition to the Evoque's pricing and features update, JLR India's plans concerning electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing in India have taken a turn, as recent reports suggest shelving these plans. Meanwhile, the Land Rover Defender Octa has been introduced with a starting price of Rs 2.59 crore, and the Range Rover Sport has seen a price increase of Rs 5 lakh, bringing its cost to Rs 1.45 crore. These developments underscore JLR's commitment to offering a diverse range of vehicles that cater to various preferences and budgets within the luxury SUV segment.
