2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe And Cabriolet Unveiled With Enhanced Performance And Features
Porsche has introduced the 911 Carrera S for the 2025 model year, bridging the gap between the 911 Carrera and the more performance-focused 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid. This new model features a significantly enhanced powertrain, achieving performance levels once exclusive to the previous generation's 911 Carrera GTS. The car is available in both Coupé and Cabriolet versions, offering an attractive addition to the Carrera lineup.
The new Carrera S boasts a 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine that delivers 473 hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque, marking a 30 hp increase over its predecessor. Porsche has fitted new turbochargers and optimised charge-air cooling to achieve this boost in power while reducing emissions. The Carrera S Coupe can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package, reaching a top speed of 191 mph.
Porsche has upgraded the standard equipment for the Carrera S significantly. It includes a Sport Exhaust with silver tailpipes, brakes from previous GTS models, and updated dampers for improved ride quality. Standard features like Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and staggered wheels remain unchanged. Optional features include Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), PASM Sport Suspension, and rear axle steering for enhanced agility.
Interior Upgrades
The interior of the 2025 Carrera S models has been significantly upgraded with more leather upholstery as standard. This includes seats, headrests, upper dashboard, and door panels. A full leather interior option covers even more surfaces like the lower dashboard and rear tunnel. For further customisation, an Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior offers up to 48 two-tone combinations.
Pricing and Availability
The new 911 Carrera S is available for order as either a Coupe or Cabriolet with rear-wheel drive. The MSRP is set at $146,400 for the Coupe and $159,600 for the Cabriolet, excluding a $1,995 delivery fee. Deliveries to U.S. Porsche Centres are expected to start in Spring 2025.
