2025 Nissan Pathfinder Named Best Car For Car Seats By Cars.com For Second Year; Rogue Earns Top Finisher Honour
Nissan has been acknowledged by Cars.com for its dedication to safety and family-friendly features. The 2025 Pathfinder was named one of the Best Cars for Car Seats for the second year in a row. Additionally, the 2025 Nissan Rogue was highlighted as a Top Finisher, a new category recognising vehicles that excelled in child safety seat evaluations.
The Pathfinder distinguished itself among 51 tested vehicles, being one of only seven to receive straight A's in all categories. This achievement underscores its appeal to families. Meanwhile, the Rogue was among ten vehicles in the Top Finisher group, showcasing models that nearly achieved top honours while still delivering excellent results.
Jennifer Geiger, Cars.com news editor and certified child passenger safety technician, remarked on the Pathfinder's standout features. "The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder stands out as one of Cars.com’s Best Cars for Car Seats thanks to its family-focused design and exceptional versatility," she said. The vehicle earned high marks for its removable head restraints and easy-access third row with clearly marked Latch anchors.
The Pathfinder continues to lead in family safety, having received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation for four consecutive years. This is the highest accolade from the organisation. The Rogue also boasts a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Good or Acceptable ratings across all IIHS crashworthiness categories.
Geiger also praised the Rogue's features: "With thoughtful touches like the one‑touch second‑row release and rear climate controls, the Pathfinder makes traveling with kids easier and more comfortable." She noted that the Rogue offers easy-to-find Latch anchors, ample room for two car seats, and an extra middle-seat anchor for installation flexibility.
