2025 Mercedes AMG GT 63 Launched in India

Mercedes AMG GT 63 & GT 63 Pro Specs & Performance

Both the GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are powered by a handcrafted 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. This powertrain is coupled with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and features Mercedes' 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system for an exceptional driving experience. The GT 63 boasts 585hp and 800Nm of torque, while the GT 63 Pro ramps up the excitement with 612hp and 850Nm. The adrenaline surge continues with the GT 63's ability to hit 0-100kph in just 3.2 seconds, and the GT 63 Pro shaves off a tenth, clocking in at 3.1 seconds with the help of Cup 2R tyres.

The GT 63 Pro differentiates itself with advanced cooling systems, larger brakes, and lighter wheels, further complemented by more aggressive tyres for that extra edge on the track. Mercedes-Benz India is stepping up the game by offering exclusive track experiences, allowing owners to push these machines to their limits.

The size of the AMG GT 63 has grown significantly from its predecessor, now longer, wider, and taller, with a more extended wheelbase. This expansion is mirrored in its underpinnings, shared with the luxurious AMG SL roadster, and the use of lightweight materials such as aluminium, steel, magnesium, and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics. Moreover, Mercedes has equipped the GT 63 with Active Ride Control suspension and rear-axle steering as standard, enhancing its dynamic capabilities.

Interior Luxury Meets Cutting-Edge Technology

The interior of the AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro is a testament to Mercedes' commitment to luxury and technology. A 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.6-inch touchscreen, running the MBUX OS, offer a seamless interface for driver and vehicle interaction. Features such as the AMG Performance menu provide real-time data on engine output, lateral acceleration, and more.

Comfort is not overlooked, with Nappa leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a Burmester sound system enhancing the cabin's ambiance. The GT 63 also introduces a practical 2+2 seating arrangement, with the rear seats folding to significantly increase boot capacity, a notable improvement over its predecessor.

These models showcase a design evolution from the first generation, with sleeker headlights and a refreshed bumper design. The GT 63 Pro stands out with unique wheels and a more aggressive bumper, emphasizing its performance pedigree. The design prioritizes aerodynamics and aesthetics, with features like flush door handles and a retractable rear spoiler that adjusts automatically at high speeds, all contributing to a streamlined and sophisticated look.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, expressed enthusiasm for the launch, highlighting the AMG GT 63 models as embodiments of AMG's ethos of performance, precision engineering, and emotional connection. Iyer's statement reflects the anticipation and excitement surrounding these models, "Launch of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ and the track-oriented GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ represents our strong commitment to India's growing community of performance motoring enthusiasts. These vehicles embody the pure essence of AMG with uncompromising performance, precision engineering, and an emotional connect that only a hand-built AMG engine can deliver."

DriveSpark Thinks!

With the introduction of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro, Mercedes-Benz continues to cater to the high-performance vehicle enthusiasts in India, promising vehicles that not only push the boundaries of engineering but also offer a connection that resonates deeply with those who appreciate the art of driving.
