2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift Launched At ₹9.99 Lakh – Updated Styling, New Colours & More Tech
The 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift has been launched in India with prices starting at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed Mahindra Thar 3-door brings updates in design, interior comfort, and connected technology.
The 2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift's exterior sports a distinct new grille and a dual-tone front bumper, paired with fresh 18-inch alloy wheels. The Thar facelift is offered in six exterior colour options, including two new shades: Tango Red and Battleship Grey.
Inside, Mahindra has redesigned the Thar's cabin with an all-black theme dashboard and a new steering wheel. The centre console has also been updated, and there is a sliding armrest for front occupants and dedicated rear AC vents for second-row passengers.
Convenience-focused additions include door-mounted power windows, a rear-view camera, an internally operated fuel lid, and a dead pedal on automatic variants. The Thar also gains a rear wiper function and an A-Pillar entry assist handle for easier ingress.
On the technology front, the SUV introduces a 10.25-inch HD infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Also seen are Type-C USB ports in the front and rear for faster charging and smartphone integration.
Adventure-focused 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift buyers will be delighted with the new Adventure Stats Gen II system. This provides real-time off-road information, including an altimeter, outside temperature, trip data, tyre pressure and steering direction, as well as a racing tab for tracking competitive performance.
The facelifted Thar also introduces a Tyre Direction Monitoring System, designed to improve driver awareness of wheel orientation in challenging terrain. Combined with the rear camera, this feature enhances control during tight manoeuvres and off-road driving situations.
The 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift continues to offer multiple engine choices. Mahindra provides the 2.0-litre mStallion petrol with 150bhp and up to 320 Nm of torque, alongside the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel rated at 130bhp and 300 Nm.
The updated Thar also gets the base 1.5-litre CRDe diesel as the entry-level option, which pushes out 117bhp and 300Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque converter automatic. Buyers can select from RWD or 4X4 drivetrains.
