Explore The Features Of The 2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition Luxury Sports Sedan
The Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition, a limited release of 500 units for North America, is set to debut later this year. This special edition celebrates the legacy of the Lexus IS, which has sold around 1.3 million units globally since its launch in 1999. The model is renowned for its compact, rear-wheel-drive design that rivals European sports sedans.
Inside, the IS 500 Ultimate Edition features a striking Circuit Red and Black theme. The seats are upholstered in NuLuxe and Ultrasuede, complemented by red seatbelts and a serialized badge. The steering wheel and shift knob are wrapped in dimple-textured leather, inspired by the LFA. These elements create a cohesive, performance-driven interior.

The vehicle is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 472 hp and 395 lb.-ft. of torque. It uses an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission to deliver power to the rear wheels. This setup enhances driving dynamics while maintaining the model's sporty character.
The exterior boasts Brembo six-piston aluminum calipers with high-friction brake pads and large ventilated disc brakes for superior stopping power. These calipers are painted red to highlight the car's sporty nature. Additionally, it features 19-inch forged alloy wheels by BBS with a matte black finish.
The IS 500 Ultimate Edition includes Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard. This suite offers features like Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, and Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking. These systems enhance safety through advanced detection and automatic responses.
Additional safety technologies include All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist. These systems use radar and cameras to maintain speed and lane position on highways, even in stop-and-go traffic conditions.
Exterior Aesthetics
A new F SPORT exclusive colour called Wind adorns the exterior, giving it a metallic light grey finish that suggests agility and motion. This complements the vehicle's athletic stance, further enhanced by its specially designed wheels.
The Lexus Driving Signature is central to this model's development at Shimoyama's Toyota Technical Center. Here, rigorous testing ensures each vehicle meets high standards of performance and handling while maintaining ride quality and quietness.
Technology Integration
The interior technology includes an analog clock with precision red laser etching on its dial, adding a touch of craftsmanship. The centre console features exclusive design elements like serialized badges and scuff plates unique to this edition.
An 8-inch Thin Film Transistor display provides multi-information with an exclusive start-up animation for this edition. This feature adds excitement each time the vehicle starts, enhancing the driving experience.
Lexus began its journey in 1989 with two luxury sedans aimed at perfection. Today, it offers a diverse lineup across more than 90 countries through numerous dealers worldwide. Known for hybrid technology leadership, Lexus continues to innovate in luxury automotive experiences.
