2025 Jeep Wagoneer Command Operations Vehicle Enhances VIP Protection And Law Enforcement Capabilities
The Jeep Wagoneer Command Operations Vehicle (COV) is making waves in the full-size SUV market, particularly for law enforcement and VIP transport. Developed with input from various government agencies, the vehicle has attracted significant interest since its January 2025 debut. It was showcased at an event for over 200 Stellantis fleet customers at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan.
Stellantis North America COO Antonio Filosa, along with other executives, attended the event. Activities included a Camp Jeep experience, thrill rides, and demonstrations of Ram towing capabilities. The Jeep Wagoneer COV is now available for order through Stellantis U.S. dealerships, with Canadian market details expected for the 2026 model year.
The Jeep brand is venturing into new territories like VIP protection and law enforcement with this vehicle. Ryan Austin, Stellantis' law enforcement program manager, stated that the Wagoneer COV has already garnered considerable interest from government agencies across America since its introduction. "From Washington, D.C., motorcades to high-profile logistic requirements in every state and county across America, the Jeep Wagoneer COV is set to become a new leader in secure VIP transportation," he said.
The vehicle boasts numerous safety and technology features that make it stand out. It comes in both short- and long-wheelbase models and has earned a Top Safety PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). An easy-to-order upfit package includes comprehensive lighting and electrical systems tailored for law enforcement needs.
The Jeep Wagoneer COV is powered by a 420-horsepower twin-turbo Hurricane engine capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 6.3 seconds. It also features a 240-amp alternator and a Quadra-Lift air suspension system with automatic rear load leveling. With a towing capacity of up to 10,000 lbs., it offers best-in-class performance attributes.
Safety remains a priority with more than 130 standard safety features. These include intersection collision assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, and active lane management. The vehicle also offers advanced technology like a 10-inch head-up display with night vision and a 360-degree surround-view camera.
Interior Comfort and Connectivity
Inside, the Wagoneer COV provides ample space for eight passengers with standard leather seating and three-zone climate control. It offers best-in-class passenger volume as well as second- and third-row headroom and legroom. Cargo space is also generous at 130.9 cubic feet.
The vehicle ensures extensive digital connectivity through app-based Jeep Connect services available for three years. This includes remote engine start and door lock functionalities. Additionally, it provides ten years of access to safety packages like Stolen Vehicle Assistance and Recall Alert.
