2025 Honda Prologue Offers Enhanced Range And Power For Electric Vehicle Buyers
The Honda Prologue has received a significant upgrade for 2025, enhancing its appeal as a leading electric vehicle. The all-electric SUV now boasts an impressive EPA range of 308 miles, an increase of 12 miles from previous models. This improvement is part of a broader enhancement that includes increased power and torque, making it a competitive choice in the EV market.
Honda's Prologue was the top-selling non-Tesla electric vehicle in the U.S. during the last quarter of 2024. The 2025 model continues this momentum with no change in pricing, starting at $39,900 after federal tax incentives. The Prologue EX is well-equipped with advanced features, maintaining its position as a value-driven option for consumers.
The 2025 Prologue's performance upgrades include a new front power unit that boosts output ratings. Single motor two-wheel drive models now deliver 220 horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque. All-wheel drive versions see an increase to 300 horsepower and 355 lb.-ft. of torque, offering drivers more power on the road.
For those opting for all-wheel drive, the EPA range ratings have also improved. The EX and Touring trims now achieve 294 miles per charge, while the Elite trim reaches 283 miles. These enhancements ensure that the Prologue remains competitive against other electric SUVs.
Honda provides extensive charging solutions for Prologue owners, both at home and on the go. Customers can choose from three charging packages included in the MSRP, which offer public charging credits or home charging equipment with installation credits tailored to individual needs.
Each package includes credits for EVgo and Electrify America networks, providing flexibility for users who rely on public charging stations. Additionally, first-time Honda EV owners receive complimentary public charging through Electrify America.
Advanced Features and Technology
The Prologue comes equipped with numerous standard features designed to enhance comfort and connectivity. These include Google built-in services, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, a wireless phone charger, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Sirius XM satellite radio.
The SUV also features HondaSensing™, ensuring safety and convenience for drivers. With these offerings, the Prologue stands out as a technologically advanced vehicle in its class.
Pricing Details
The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the Prologue starts at $47,400 before any government incentives or tax credits are applied. After applying the available $7,500 federal tax credit, prices begin at $39,900 for the EX trim with single motor two-wheel drive configuration.
{TABLE_1}Jessika Laudermilk from Honda National Auto Sales highlighted customer trust in Honda as a key factor in their purchasing decisions: "When the Honda Prologue quickly soared to the top of the EV sales charts as one of the best-selling EVs in America, it was incredibly reassuring to hear buyers tell us the number one reason for their purchase was their trust for the Honda brand."
By 2030, Honda aims to provide access to around 100,000 DC fast-charge points across North America through various networks including IONNA DC fast-charging network and Tesla Superchargers.
This strategic expansion will significantly enhance convenience for Honda EV owners by offering more accessible charging options throughout North America.
