2025 Honda Accord And Accord Hybrid Recognised As Best Cars For Families By U.S. News
The 2025 Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid have been recognised as "Best Cars for Families" by U.S. News & World Report in their latest car rankings. The turbocharged Accord was awarded in the midsize car category, while the Accord Hybrid topped the midsize hybrid car class. This is the fourth time the Accord has received this accolade and the second for the hybrid model.
Accord Hybrid models are a significant part of Honda's lineup, making up over half of sales in the 11th generation. Positioned at the top of this range, they continue to attract family buyers with their features. The awards highlight vehicles that excel in safety, reliability, space, comfort, and connectivity within their categories.

According to Alex Kwanten, managing editor of Autos for U.S. News & World Report, "Both the standard and hybrid Honda Accords offer class-leading back seat and trunk space, good fuel economy and many safety and driver assistance features. That’s a very compelling recipe for family shoppers." These attributes make them appealing choices for families seeking practicality and efficiency.
The methodology for these awards involves evaluating each vehicle's overall score in U.S. News Best Car Rankings. It also considers safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo volume, along with family-friendly features availability. The highest-scoring vehicle in each category is named Best Car for Families.
Honda provides a wide range of vehicles through over 1,000 independent dealers across the U.S., including popular models like Civic, HR-V, CR-V, Passport, Prologue, Pilot SUVs, Ridgeline pickup, and Odyssey minivan. Their electrified lineup includes all-electric Prologue SUV and hybrid-electric versions of Accord, CR-V, Civic, with a hybrid-electric Prelude joining soon.
