The 2025 Formula DRIFT season promises to be even more thrilling than the last. New drivers, team changes, and a fresh venue for the final round are on the horizon. Fans can now secure tickets for seven of the eight Championship rounds by visiting formulad.com/schedule. The Southern California Final's location is still being finalized, so tickets for that event are not yet available.
Long Beach will once again host the opening round on April 4-5. This challenging street course is known for its unforgiving nature but rewards those who dare to take risks. Additional grandstands have been added to accommodate more spectators eager to witness the action firsthand.
Among the new competitors are top performers from the 2024 FD Link ECU PROSPEC Championship. These include champion Tommy Lemaire from Canada, along with American runners-up Connor O’Sullivan and Austin Matta. They will be joined by rookies Luke Fink from Australia and Jack Shanahan from Ireland, who has a strong track record in British and Irish championships.
The Long Beach event will also feature the debut of these drivers' PRO cars before they head to the Formula DRIFT x GRIDLIFE Festival at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on May 8-10. This festival will showcase multiple championships, including FD PRO Round 2 and FD Link ECU PROSPEC Championship Round 1, offering fans an unforgettable motorsports experience.
Fans attending any round can explore the paddock area to see their favourite drivers up close and observe vehicle preparations. Autograph sessions are held at every event, providing opportunities for personal interactions with drivers. VIP packages offer additional perks like track walks and collectible items.
Photography enthusiasts can participate in FD Photo Experiences, though spots are limited. Ticketing details are available at formulad.com/schedule. Ryan Sage, President of Formula DRIFT, stated that recent changes aim to enhance fan experiences further by improving facilities and increasing seating capacity.
