2025 BYD Seal Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 41 Lakh

The 2025 BYD Seal has been launched in India, starting at Rs 41 lakh for the Dynamic (RWD) variant. The Premium (RWD) and Performance (AWD) models are priced at Rs 45.70 lakh and Rs 53.15 lakh, respectively. While the base model's price remains unchanged from its predecessor, the top two trims have seen a Rs 15,000 increase each.

The 2025 BYD Seal boasts several updates, including a power sunshade and a silver-plated dimming canopy. The air-conditioning system now features a larger compressor and an advanced air purification module. These enhancements aim to improve passenger comfort and overall vehicle experience.

The Premium variant of the BYD Seal now includes Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) for improved ride quality. Meanwhile, the Performance variant is equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent damping system, enhancing handling and comfort. Additionally, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across all variants, along with a new sound wave function for an enhanced acoustic experience.

The base Dynamic variant is powered by a 61.44 kWh battery pack with rear-wheel drive, delivering 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. It claims a range of up to 510 kilometres on a full charge. The Premium model features an 82.56 kWh battery with rear-wheel drive, offering 308 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, with an impressive range of up to 650 kilometres.

Performance Variant Details

The top-tier Performance variant also uses an 82.56 kWh battery but provides even more power at 523 bhp and 670 Nm of torque. This variant is unique in offering all-wheel drive but has a slightly lower range of 580 kilometres compared to the Premium model.

Charging times vary based on equipment used; using a standard 7 kW AC charger takes up to 12 hours for a full charge from zero to one hundred percent. However, the Dynamic variant can reach up to 85% when connected to a 110 kW charger. The higher-end variants support charging with up to a 150 kW charger.

BYD sold over 1,300 units of the Seal in its first year on the market. This success reflects consumer interest in electric vehicles that offer both performance and practicality. As electric vehicles continue gaining popularity in India, models like the BYD Seal are expected to play a significant role in shaping consumer preferences.
