Top 5 Things About The 2025 BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase Diesel Variant
The 2025 BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB) now includes a diesel variant, expanding its engine options, and here are the top 5 things about the model.
Variants
Initially launched with a petrol engine in February, the diesel version is available in two trims: 320Ld M Sport and 320Ld M Sport Pro. Both variants are priced at ₹62 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powertrain & Performance
The diesel engine in the BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit producing 188bhp and 400Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that directs power to the rear wheels. This setup allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph swiftly. The new diesel option complements the existing 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine already offered in the lineup.
Exterior Design
The refreshed model retains its signature kidney grille and bumpers, with no significant visual changes. However, it features an aluminium satin finish on the exterior and a gloss black rear diffuser. Five new metallic paint options are available: Arctic Race Blue, M Carbon Black, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey, while Portimao Blue has been discontinued.

Interior & Features
Inside, the cabin boasts several updates including a curved 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, a multi-zone climate control, and a digital instrument cluster measuring 12.3 inches. Also, thanks to its long 2961mm wheelbase, the model provides more legroom for rear passengers compared to the standard version.
Safety Tech
Safety features are enhanced with an ADAS suite offering Blind Spot Detection, lane change assistance, and collision alerts for both front and rear. The vehicle also comes with six airbags for added safety.
DriveSpark Thinks
The introduction of a diesel variant alongside existing petrol options provides customers with more choices in terms of performance preferences. With these updates, BMW aims to enhance both driving experience and passenger comfort in their popular sedan model.
BMW has announced that prices for their cars, including MINI models, will increase by up to three per cent starting April 2025. This price adjustment will affect various models across their range.
