2025 Audi RS 3 Refines Performance With New Nurburgring Record And Luxury Enhancements
The 2025 Audi RS 3 has been unveiled with updated pricing and specifications, maintaining its status as an accessible entry to the Audi Sport lineup. The compact sport sedan showcases a blend of luxury and performance, highlighted by its record-breaking lap time of 7:33.123 minutes at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This achievement underscores the vehicle's impressive capabilities in the compact class.
Powered by Audi's renowned five-cylinder engine, the RS 3 delivers 394 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. With the Dynamic plus package, the top speed increases to 180 mph from the standard 155 mph. The engine's unique firing order produces a distinctive sound, enhancing its performance credentials.
The RS 3's exterior design reflects its sporty nature with several new features. A redesigned singleframe grille with a rhombus pattern and larger air intakes give it a commanding presence. The front and rear bumpers have been updated with an RS-specific diffuser featuring vertical reflectors. New Anthracite Audi rings add a modern touch to its appearance.
Inside, the RS 3 balances performance with luxury through various enhancements. A new flat-top and bottom steering wheel comes standard, wrapped in perforated leather or optional Alcantara for better grip. The RS Torque Splitter significantly improves cornering by actively distributing torque between rear wheels using electronically controlled clutches on each driveshaft. This system reduces understeer by directing torque to the outer wheel during turns, influenced by factors like acceleration and steering angle.
The RS sport suspension plus with dynamic chassis control (DCC) further enhances driving dynamics. It adjusts continuously based on road conditions and driving modes, optimising lateral dynamics for improved cornering compared to previous models.
Interior Luxury Meets Performance
The interior of the RS 3 combines luxury with sporty elements. The standard SONOS premium sound system offers immersive audio experiences for both drivers and passengers. Three seat design options are available, including Black with Super Black stitching or optional Micrommata Green or Express Red stitching.
New digital signatures in headlights and taillights enhance visibility and aesthetics. The taillights feature unique patterns visible during operation and when entering or exiting the vehicle. Standard wheels are 19-inch with optional dark gray matte finish available through the Carbon optic package.
