1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster Takes Best In Show At Rodeo Drive Concours D’Elegance

The Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance celebrated its 30th anniversary on June 15, 2025, in Beverly Hills. This annual Father's Day event attracted nearly 40,000 visitors who enjoyed an array of world-class cars, delicious food, and family-friendly activities. Bruce Meyer, the event's founder, expressed gratitude to car owners and sponsors for making the event possible over the years.

Attendees had the opportunity to view some of the rarest vehicles globally. Highlights included a 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III and a rare 2008 Ferrari Enzo. The Best in Show award was given to Richard and Boni Losee for their 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster. Other notable winners included Marcy Hammerstein's 1957 Ford Thunderbird, which received the Mayor’s Award: Most Elegant.

Steve Saghdejian's 2003 Ferrari Enzo won the Rodeo Drive Award: Most Stylish. Jay Leno joined Bruce Meyer, Beverly Hills Mayor Sharona R. Nazarian, and Rodeo Drive Committee President Kay Monica Rose in presenting awards. Mayor Nazarian expressed pride in hosting such a prestigious event in Beverly Hills, highlighting its role in showcasing the community's best offerings.

The event also featured the North American public debut of the Lamborghini Temerario at the O'Gara Coach display. This exhibit included over a dozen rare supercars and hypercars from brands like McLaren, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Pagani, and Bentley. Additionally, the Beverly Hills Police Department Motor Unit demonstrated advanced driving skills.

Proceeds from this year's event benefited local charities such as the Beverly Hills Police Foundation and Beverly Hills Fire Chiefs Fund. These organizations support first responders and their families. Funds were also raised for restoring a retired 1975 Cadillac ambulance from the Beverly Hills Fire Department.

Kay Monica Rose shared her enthusiasm for the event, stating it was one of her favorite days of the year due to its unique blend of exceptional cars and community spirit. She looked forward to next year's gathering with anticipation.
