1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida Concludes With Celebrated Finish And Award Ceremony
The 1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida has concluded its first edition, marking the end of a thrilling 1,000-mile journey across Florida. Over three days, 70 classic and modern cars raced from Miami to Naples, Venice, Tampa, Cape Canaveral, and West Palm Beach, finishing on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. The event celebrated both the beauty of classic motoring and the spirit of competition.
Bruce and Logan Roch emerged victorious in the 1000 Miglia Original class with their 1953 Jaguar XK 120 OTS. In the Classic Icons category, Gabriel and Gabriel Hrib Jr. claimed victory with a 1959 Jaguar XK150 S. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Macario and Giovanna Di Costanzo won the Hypercar & Supercar class driving a 2018 Ferrari 488 GTS. The event showcased a diverse range of vehicles competing for top honours.
The grand finale took place at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables with an elegant Award Ceremony. Massimo Cicatiello, President of EGA USA, remarked on the event's success: "This journey has been a tribute to the timeless allure of classic motoring and the shared love for excellence. As we close this inaugural chapter, we look ahead with great ambition." His words highlighted the event's celebration of automotive history and passion.
Aldo Bonomi, President of Automobile Club of Brescia, expressed his gratitude: "70 cars in the race and an incredible public turnout: the first edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida hit the mark, delivering unforgettable emotions to both participants on the road and spectators along the route." He noted how warmly they were received at each stop along their memorable route.
Bonomi reflected on key moments during their journey: "Everywhere we went, we were met with warmth and enthusiasm. I will always remember the excitement in picturesque locations like Venice and awe-inspiring atmosphere of Cape Canaveral." These stops provided unique experiences that enriched their adventure through Florida's diverse landscapes.
The event offered participants an opportunity to explore two contrasting sides of America: "Throughout our journey," Bonomi continued,"we experienced two distinct yet equally fascinating sides of this great country: endless stretches open roads iconic tourist residential destinations made our route so memorable." This blend added depth to their experience as they navigated through various terrains.
