1000 Miglia Experience USA Begins With Checks And Training In Miami Before Race Start
The anticipation for the Red Arrow's debut in Florida has ended. This morning, 70 crews completed checks near their Coral Gables hotel. Later, they will engage in training sessions at Matheson Hammock Park & Marina. These sessions are designed to familiarise participants with Italian regularity racing rules and techniques.
Organised by EGA Worldwide under a 1000 Miglia licence, the event is supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Miami, NIAF, ACI, and ACI Storico. The competition features cars from 1927 to 1957 known as 1000 Miglia Originals. It also includes more recent classic cars and modern Supercars under the Experience format.
This format allows enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of regularity racing while enjoying the unique 1000 Miglia Style atmosphere. The event offers a chance for selected Supercars and Hypercars to compete alongside prestigious classic cars like a 1955 Ferrari 750 Monza and a 1953 250 MM.
The race begins tomorrow morning with the first leg traversing the Everglades National Park's wild landscapes. Participants will reach Naples before passing through Fort Myers, Venice, and St. Petersburg, concluding the day's race in Tampa.
On the second day, competitors will head back to Florida's southeastern coast, passing Cape Canaveral before finishing in West Palm Beach. The final leg on February 25th takes them back to Miami. They will pass through iconic locations in the Magic City before reaching Miami Beach.
This event provides an exclusive opportunity for car enthusiasts to experience both historical and modern automotive marvels in a competitive setting. It combines tradition with innovation, offering a unique blend of past and present automotive excellence.
