Experience The Beauty Of Southern Italy At The Inaugural 1000 Miglia Event In April 2025
The 1000 Miglia Experience Italy is set to debut soon, offering a unique driving adventure through Southern Italy. Participants will explore the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic coasts, visiting four UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Amalfi Coast, Sassi of Matera, Trulli of Alberobello, and Castel del Monte. This event builds on the success of Sorrento Roads and promises an unforgettable journey.
On Thursday, 10 April, the event kicks off with a prologue in Sorrento. Here, a one-on-one knockout challenge for the Città di Sorrento Trophy will take place in the late afternoon. The main event begins on Friday, 11 April, as crews embark on a scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast towards Salerno. Their journey continues to Marina d'Arechi for the first set of Time Trials.
After leaving Salerno, participants head inland to Caggiano for their first race lunch. The afternoon brings a challenging segment in Basilicata with two Average Trials and 27 Time Trials split into two parts. The route through Matera offers breathtaking views of the famous Sassi before concluding at Piazza Pietro Caveoso. A walk through Città dei Sassi awaits after parking.
The following day, Saturday, 12 April, sees the convoy departing Matera for Puglia. They travel southeast to Noci and Alberobello for a guided tour of the Trulli. Afterward, they head north with stopwatches ready for more sports trials at Binetto's Autodromo del Levante.
The second race lunch takes place in Andria before crews visit Castel del Monte. This medieval architectural masterpiece is also a World Heritage site featured in this edition. In the afternoon, participants proceed to Bari for the final Time Control along its picturesque seashore.
