ZEVO And Zen Mobility Set To Transform Last-Mile Deliveries In India With 3,000 Electric Vehicles
In a significant move towards revolutionizing last-mile delivery services in India, ZEVO, a tech-enabled EV mobility platform, has formed a strategic partnership with Zen Mobility, an up-and-coming Indian electric vehicle OEM known for its innovative vehicle solutions.
The collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and reliability of deliveries, a boon for services like Zomato, Swiggy, and others in the sector.
At the heart of this partnership is the deployment of 3,000 units of the Zen Micro Pod within the next 12 months. The Zen Micro Pod is designed with a 150kg payload capacity and boasts a range of over 120 kilometers per charge.
Its customized box is tailored to navigate through India's congested urban roads, promising timely deliveries. Furthermore, Zen Mobility is set to introduce the Zen Maxi Pod, a 4-wheeler Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) for mid to large-size deliveries, aimed at further boosting ZEVO's delivery capabilities.
ZEVO's plan includes a nationwide rollout of these advanced vehicles, starting with Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
This initial step will allow for thorough testing and adaptation to meet local demands. The plan is to extend services to other major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, and Chennai, following the NCR deployment.
The partnership is a testament to ZEVO's commitment to sustainability, with Zen Mobility's eco-friendly vehicles set to reduce ZEVO's carbon footprint significantly.
A significant portion of the fleet will be dedicated to e-commerce and grocery delivery services, addressing the increasing consumer demand for timely and reliable delivery of goods.
