Young Journalists Under 30 Invited To Compete For Toyota-Sponsored Guild Award
Young journalists have a limited time to submit their entries for the Guild of Motoring Writers Young Journalist of the Year Award. Sponsored by Toyota UK, this award will be presented at the Guild's annual dinner in London this December. The award is open to all journalists under 30, regardless of Guild membership.
The Young Journalist of the Year Award is accessible to journalists below 30 years old. Membership in the Guild is not a requirement for entry. Judges are seeking submissions that demonstrate a blend of in-depth research and skillful journalism. The award has recognized several distinguished winners who have significantly impacted the automotive media sector.

Among past winners is Richard Aucock, who won the inaugural award and now serves as a director at Motoring Research. In 2023, Yousuf Ashraf from Evo magazine received the accolade. At just 23, his work captivated judges by immersing readers into vivid experiences through his compelling features.
Entry Details and Deadline
Entries must be submitted by midnight on 30th September. Detailed entry instructions and rules can be found on the Awards page of the Guild website at www.gomw.co.uk/awards. This page also provides information on other awards available.
Three finalists will be selected, each receiving an invitation to attend the prestigious black-tie Guild Dinner at the RAC Club in Pall Mall, London on Thursday, 7th December. The winner will be announced during this event.
