Luxury Driving Experience Now Available For Youngsters With Young Driver Exclusive Collection
Young Driver has introduced the Young Driver Exclusive Collection, a new programme aimed at 10-17 year-olds. This initiative allows young drivers to experience high-end sports and luxury cars, such as the Porsche 911 Carrera 4, Mercedes-Benz SL 500, and Bentley Continental Flying Spur. These sessions are designed to enhance their driving skills beyond the basics learned in Vauxhall Corsas.
"We really want young people to get excited about driving again," said Ian Mulingani, Young Driver’s MD. "Our normal Corsa drives are a popular way to engage kids with driving before they take to the road, and the Young Driver Exclusive Collection cars will take that experience to another level. "But this is all about normalising driving at a young age, reinforcing its importance as a key life skill, and – most importantly – reducing accident rates in the first months and years after a young person has passed their test."
The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 features a 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine producing 320bhp. It offers a thrilling drive with its low-set driving position and responsive throttle. The Mercedes-Benz SL 500, powered by a 429bhp V8 engine, provides a luxurious driving experience with its retractable roof. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur boasts a 552bhp, 12-cylinder engine, offering ultimate motoring opulence.Young Driver's fleet of Vauxhall Corsas remains the starting point for all young drivers aged 10-17. These initial lessons involve navigating specially-designed courses under the guidance of an ADI-certified instructor. Each session is recorded in a free Drive Diary to track progress.Young Driver also offers other unique programmes like Drive a Classic Car and Fire Engine Driving at selected UK locations.
For younger children aged four and above, the Firefly Sport electric cars provide an introduction to driving before progressing to Corsas and eventually the Exclusive Collection cars.The Young Driver Exclusive Collection is available at selected locations for £69.99 for a limited period (normal cost: £74.99). The programme aims to make driving an exciting yet safe experience for youngsters by providing them with one-to-one tuition in high-performance vehicles equipped with dual controls.Young Driver was established in 2009 to promote safer driving among new drivers by offering extended learning periods. The company is the only UK driving school providing carbon-negative lessons. Lessons occur on private properties designed to mimic real road systems, complete with signs and junctions.

Young Driver Motor Cars Ltd launched Firefly electric cars for children aged 4-10 in September 2016, with the Firefly Sport debuting in 2022. They also offer experiences in classic cars like the Vauxhall VX490, Morris Minor, Austin 7, and an ex-service fire engine.The programme's goal is to instil safe driving habits early on by providing comprehensive training over several years.
