Wates Group Adds 60 Volkswagen Vans To Its Property Services Fleet

Wates Property Services, a division of the Wates Group, has enhanced its fleet with the addition of 30 all-electric ID. Buzz Cargo vans and 30 Volkswagen Transporter vans. This move supports the company's social housing business by facilitating repairs, planned maintenance, and net zero carbon retrofitting across the UK.

The ID. Buzz Cargo vans, with an electric range of 254 miles, are designed to reduce fleet emissions and provide easy access to properties within Ultra-Low Emissions Zones. These vans offer a payload volume of 3.9m² and dimensions that ensure practicality for business needs.

For larger tasks, Wates has also incorporated the award-winning Transporter vans into its fleet. These vehicles boast a payload capacity of 1,185kg, making them reliable for more extensive jobs. The Transporter’s combination of payload, space, and flexibility sets a high standard in the industry.

David Morgan, Executive Managing Director of Wates Property Services, emphasized the company's dedication to sustainability. "Since 2021, we have introduced 55 fully electric vehicles, replacing some of our older diesel vans. Our latest investment highlights our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint in our operations," he stated.
