He stated that such awards are a valued endorsement of their commitment to making cars that are practical, luxurious, safe, and sustainable. The XC60 was particularly noted for its luxurious design and practicality.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year Awards are renowned as the UK's longest-established towing awards. This year saw 33 vehicles evaluated at the UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire. Judges assessed each vehicle's towing ability alongside practicality, comfort, and quality.

The judging panel comprised specialist journalists and caravanning experts who scrutinised each entrant closely. The XC60 impressed with its level stance when towing a caravan and excellent sight lines when reversing into a pitch.
