Volvo EX30 And XC90 Recognised As Most Anticipated New Vehicles For 2025 By Newsweek
Two Volvo models, the 2025 Volvo EX30 and the updated 2025.5 Volvo XC90, have been recognised by Newsweek as winners of ‘America’s Most Anticipated New Vehicles 2025’ award. The EX30 is Volvo's first small premium electric SUV, designed to minimise carbon emissions while enhancing safety and convenience through advanced technology and Scandinavian design.
The EX30 has gained popularity in Europe and will soon be available in the U.S. It offers a competitive starting price for the Twin Motor Performance model, which boasts 422 horsepower and a range of 253 miles. A more affordable Single Motor version is expected to arrive in the U.S. later in 2025.
Meanwhile, the XC90 remains a flagship model for Volvo Cars. This seven-seater SUV combines luxury with practicality, featuring extensive technology and design enhancements both inside and out. Known for its safety, the XC90 is also available as a plug-in hybrid, offering an excellent electric driving experience with backup options.
The interior of the XC90 has been refreshed to improve usability, including a larger central touchscreen with higher resolution that supports new features, apps, and regular over-the-air updates. Both models are currently available for preorder on volvocars.com, with deliveries expected to begin later this year.
