Volvo Cars Broadens UK Range With New EX30 Core And Luxurious XC90 Trims

Volvo Cars has introduced a new entry-level Core trim for its fully electric EX30 small SUV, making it more accessible to a broader audience. The new EX30 Core is available with two powertrains: Single Motor and Single Motor Extended Range. The Single Motor version offers a driving range of up to 209 miles, while the Extended Range variant can go up to 295 miles, according to official WLTP data.

The EX30 Core comes equipped with a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, automatic LED headlights with active high beam, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also features a 12.3-inch touchscreen system integrated with Google services and a dashboard-mounted soundbar for superior audio quality. For the Single Motor Extended Range version, an energy-saving heat pump is included in the climate control system to optimise power usage and extend driving range.

Volvo's seven-seat XC90 large SUV now boasts increased luxury with new Plus Edition and Ultra Edition trims. These new versions replace the existing Plus and Ultra grades. The Plus Edition includes perforated Nappa leather upholstery with front seat ventilation, tinted windows, and upgraded 21-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Ultra Edition features even larger 22-inch wheels and includes all exterior paint choices in its pricing.

The new XC90 specifications are available with both B5 petrol and T8 petrol-electric plug-in hybrid powertrains. Prices start at £69,425 for the Plus Edition and £75,075 for the Ultra Edition. Orders are open now, with first deliveries expected this autumn.

The on-the-road prices for the EX30 Core are set at £32,850 for the Single Motor version and £37,050 for the Single Motor Extended Range version. All EX30 models come with three years or 60,000 miles of servicing plus wear-and-tear maintenance for items such as wiper blades and brake discs and pads.

For those interested in the XC90's new trims, the B5 Plus Edition AWD starts at £69,425, while the T8 Plug-in Hybrid Plus Edition AWD is priced at £78,230. The B5 Ultra Edition AWD begins at £75,075, and the T8 Plug-in Hybrid Ultra Edition AWD costs £83,880.
