Volvo Cars Enhances Electric Vehicle Charging With Access To Over 17,800 Tesla Supercharger Stations

Volvo's fully electric car owners in the U.S. and Canada can now use Tesla's Supercharger network. Starting with the 2025 models, including the new EX90 SUV, these vehicles will come with NACS adapters. Current Volvo electric car owners can order adapters from Volvo retailers, with deliveries beginning on November 18, 2024. The Volvo Cars app and Google Maps will help locate Tesla Superchargers from this date.

Volvo Cars is expanding its electrification efforts by giving drivers access to over 17,800 Tesla Supercharger stations across North America. This move adds to the existing fast-charging options available to Volvo drivers. New Volvo electric models like the EX90, EX40, and EC40 will include an adapter for Tesla Superchargers starting in 2025.

Volvo Cars Expands EV Charging Access

Current owners of fully electric Volvos can purchase NACS adapters at authorised retailers in the U.S. and Canada for US$230 or CA$310 MSRP. These adapters will be shipped to retailers starting November 18, 2024. Details about adapter availability for the EX30 model will be shared later.

The Volvo Cars app provides a seamless charging experience by allowing users to find public charging stations, check charger availability in real-time, and pay through a single interface. Additionally, Google Assistant in the infotainment system can guide drivers to nearby charging stations.
