Volvo Car USA Begins Fulfilling EX30 Customer Preorders For Fully Electric SUV This Year
Volvo Cars is set to deliver its fully electric EX30 SUV to U.S. customers by the end of 2024. This move aims to meet the high demand for this model, which has already gained popularity in Europe. Customers who preordered the vehicle will receive it sooner than initially planned, expanding Volvo's all-electric lineup to four models.
Customers across the United States placed deposits for the Volvo EX30 following its unveiling in Milan in June 2023. The EX30 has become a best-seller among electric vehicles in Europe, and U.S. customers have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. Volvo Car USA has prioritized delivering the most requested model, the 422 hp EX30 Twin Motor Performance, available with Plus or Ultra equipment levels starting at $44,900.
The Twin Motor Performance variant of the EX30 offers all-wheel drive and rapid acceleration, making it the fastest accelerating Volvo ever produced. It also boasts a charging capacity of up to 153 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just over 25 minutes. The EPA range for this model is approximately 253 miles.
Volvo emphasizes safety, quality, and Scandinavian design in every vehicle they produce. The EX30 is no exception, providing a premium electric SUV experience at a price comparable to traditional combustion engine vehicles. Its design focuses on reducing carbon footprint while enhancing safety and convenience through advanced technology.
The EX30 has received several prestigious awards, including the 2023 Popular Science Best of What’s New, the 2024 World Urban Car of the Year, and the Red Dot award for Best of the Best Product Design in 2024. These accolades highlight its innovative design and performance capabilities.
Customers with existing preorders can configure their cars on Volvo's website, with select deliveries starting before year-end. "The EX30 has already proved exceptionally popular in other markets, and we’re excited to bring it to the U.S. this year."
