Visually, it stands out with black 17-inch 'Cassino' alloy wheels and a complete black finish replacing the chrome on the exterior, including the front grille, headlights, roof rails, spoiler, and badges. The interior follows the same theme with contrast grey stitching adding a touch of elegance.

Moving up the range, the Taigun GT Plus Sport is aimed at drivers looking for more power. It is equipped with a 148bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, available in 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic variants.

This model adds a sporty flair with contrasting red bits, including GT badges and brake calipers. The interior also features red accents, alongside aluminium pedals for an enhanced driving experience.

The new blacked-out Taigun variants are set to compete against established players such as the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kia Seltos X-Line, and the Hyundai Creta N Line. With prices ranging from Rs 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the competition, Volkswagen's offerings are competitively priced.
