Volkswagen Unveils ID. Buzz GTX And LWB Specifications In The UK

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has unveiled the specifications for the new ID. Buzz GTX and ID. Buzz LWB (long wheelbase) models. These additions to the ID. Buzz line-up will be available in retailers and for delivery to customers later in 2024. The LWB version starts at £59,545, with full pricing for the GTX to be announced soon.

The high-performance ID. Buzz GTX and the spacious ID. Buzz LWB are the latest enhancements to the acclaimed ID. Buzz range. The GTX is set to be the most powerful model, while the LWB offers a longer wheelbase for more luggage space, a standard seven-seat layout, and an 86kWh battery for extended range.

The ID. Buzz GTX, available in the UK with a 79kWh standard wheelbase, is powered by two electric motors providing four-wheel drive and a combined output of 340PS. It can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 6.1 seconds. The GTX features five seats with a 40:60 split three-seat bench in the second row or six seats with two individual seats each in the second and third rows.

Externally, the dynamic ID. Buzz GTX stands out with a unique front bumper treatment, gloss black finish on the bespoke honeycomb grille design, new side air guide elements, GTX lettering, and exterior door mirror housings. Standard equipment includes exclusive GTX Black 21" 'Townsville' alloy wheels and an additional new 21-inch alloy wheel option.

The ID. Buzz LWB measures nearly five metres long and offers seating for up to seven people, making it ideal for family adventures. The increased length allows for more luggage space and a larger 86kWh battery for greater range. The seven-seat layout provides flexibility, with five- and six-seat configurations available as options.

The LWB version measures 4,962 mm in length compared to 4,712 mm for the normal wheelbase model, achieved by extending the wheelbase from 2,989 mm to 3,239 mm. This additional length enhances access through widened sliding rear doors by 192 mm.

The ID. Buzz LWB Life comes with standard equipment such as 19" "Tilburg" bi-colour alloy wheels, LED headlights with LED rear combination lights, illuminated door handle recesses, dark tinted rear windows, sliding rear doors on both sides, Discover Pro navigation system with a 12.9" colour touchscreen, App-Connect including App-Connect Wireless for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Additional features include two USB-C ports in the dashboard, one USB-C charging socket in the front passenger area, four USB-C charging sockets in the rear, a two-zone Climatronic system with an enhanced air filter and stationary air conditioning, heated front seats, a heated leatherette-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with touch control.

Advanced Specifications of ID. Buzz LWB Style

The ID. Buzz LWB Style trim adds further enhancements such as 20" "Solna" bi-colour alloy wheels, IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights with automatic headlight control and poor weather light entry lighting LED rear combination lights with dynamic turn signal power sliding doors left & right with Easy Open and Easy Close power sliding windows in second row power tailgate (opening/closing) with Easy Open and Easy Close multi-flex board (brings boot space to height of seats when folded flat).

Other features include pedals in stainless steel with play and pause symbols head-up display Harman Kardon Premium sound system.
