Volkswagen Unveils Pricing For The Refreshed 2025 Taos With Enhanced Features
Volkswagen of America has unveiled the pricing for its 2025 Taos, which now features a refreshed design, enhanced technology, and increased power. The starting price for the S front-wheel drive model is $24,995, while the S 4Motion all-wheel-drive model begins at $26,695. A destination fee of $1,425 applies to all models. These updates aim to enhance the vehicle's versatility and efficiency.
The 2025 Taos showcases a revamped exterior with a more dynamic front-end design. This includes a new bumper and grille featuring an optional light bar. Standard LED projector headlights with an available Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) are also part of the update. At the rear, connected taillights and an illuminated Volkswagen badge contribute to its upscale appearance.
Inside, the Taos boasts a redesigned dashboard with an 8-inch floating infotainment screen. The vehicle's 1.5-liter turbocharged engine now delivers 174 horsepower, up from 158 horsepower previously. Additionally, the all-wheel-drive version has switched from a DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission to an eight-speed conventional automatic transmission.
The entry-level Taos S offers five exterior colour choices: Deep Black Pearl, Pure White, Pyrite Silver, Platinum Grey, and Monterey Blue Pearl. It comes standard with grey and black cloth seating surfaces. The S trim includes features like 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels for FWD and 18-inch for AWD models.
The SE model builds on the S trim with pricing starting at $27,895 for FWD and $29,595 for AWD. It offers additional colours such as Bright Moss Green and Cornflower Blue. Standard features include silver roof rails, CloudTex and cloth materials in two-tone options, heated front seats and mirrors, wireless charging, satellite radio, voice control, and Park Distance Control.
The SE Black trim starts at $30,145 for FWD and $31,845 for AWD. It features distinctive black elements like a roof and mirror caps along with unique wheels—18 inches for FWD models and 19 inches for AWD models. A panoramic sunroof is also standard on this trim.
Top-of-the-Line SEL Trim
The SEL trim is priced at $34,695 with standard AWD. It includes unique 19-inch alloy-machined wheels and leather seating surfaces available in two-tone black and grey or dark blue hues. Additional features include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit display, and Dynamic Road Sign Display.
Volkswagen's IQ.DRIVE suite of driver assistance features is standard across all trims of the Taos lineup. This includes semi-automated driving assistance through Travel Assist; Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking; Active Blind Spot Monitor; Rear Traffic Alert; Adaptive Cruise Control; Lane Keeping System; and Emergency Assist.
