Updated Tata Punch SUV: Top 5 Things To Know
Tata Motors has made changes to the Punch SUV's petrol lineup, adding more CNG variants and new features to mid- and higher-spec trims. The base price remains Rs 6.13 lakh, but the top-spec trim is now Rs 20,000 cheaper at Rs 10 lakh. Additionally, Tata is offering benefits up to Rs 18,000 on the SUV for a limited time.
Updated Variants and Features
The Punch will no longer be available in Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished SR, and Creative Flagship trims. However, new trims like Pure (O), Adventure S, and Adventure + S have been introduced. The Accomplished Dazzle and Creative variants have also seen minor adjustments. Mid-spec Accomplished + variants onwards now feature a larger touchscreen.

The number of CNG-powered Punch variants has increased from 5 to 7. Entry-level Pure, Adventure, and Adventure Rhythm remain unchanged. However, there are now more mid-spec and top-spec options available. Prices for the top CNG variant have increased by about Rs 5,000.
Feature Enhancements
The new Pure (O) petrol variant includes central locking, powered windows, powered ORVMs, wheel covers, and more over the base Pure trim. Adventure S and Adventure + S add a sunroof and rear AC vents to the Adventure Rhythm trim. The Accomplished + variants and above get a new 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen; Creative + and Creative + S trims include a wireless charger as well.

Adventure + variants now come with rear AC vents. Exterior colour options have also changed slightly based on the variant chosen. Pure variants are available in Orcus White and Daytona Grey only; Adventure trims add Tropical Mist finish. Sunroof-equipped Adventure trims offer Calypso Red paint shade while Accomplished variants come in Meteor Bronze.
Colour Options
Creative variants are offered in five dual-tone finishes; Meteor Bronze on mid-spec variants is replaced by Tornado Blue finish exclusive to Creative + trims. Mechanically and aesthetically unchanged for now, Tata's smallest SUV continues with just feature updates.

Competition
The Tata Punch competes with Hyundai Exter (Rs 6-Rs10.43 lakh), Citroen C3 (Rs 6.16-Rs 9.42 lakh), and Maruti Ignis (Rs 5.84-Rs 8.06 lakh). All prices are ex-showroom Delhi; automatic variant prices yet to be announced.
DriveSpark Thinks
Overall, these updates aim to streamline the Punch lineup while enhancing its appeal through added features across various trims without altering its core design or mechanics significantly.
