Updated Honda City Debuts In Brazil: Exciting Features & Upgrades
Honda has unveiled the updated 2025 City lineup, featuring both Sedan and Hatchback models, set to hit the Brazilian market on 9th November. This iteration brings a notable separation in design and features between the two models, while maintaining the same engine specifications as their predecessors. Among the enhancements are several exterior modifications, alongside a host of new equipment aimed at improving functionality and the overall driving experience.
The 2025 City models are introducing a slew of updates starting with the exterior. The Sedan version boasts a revamped front grille and a slimmed-down chrome strip, complemented by a redesigned rear bumper adorned with horizontal reflective elements, adding 25 mm to its length.

The Hatchback also sees a fresh grille and bumper update, with a new black lower frame at the back and a slight 2 mm increase in length. Both models gain from the addition of new alloy wheels, available in sizes ranging from 15 to 16 inches, depending on the variant, alongside variant-specific dual-tone color options.
Enhancements extend to the cabin with the availability of an electronic parking brake (EPB) across the EX, EXL, and Touring variants of both the Sedan and Hatchback models. This feature, which includes a Brake Hold function, marks a significant functional update. Further improving safety and convenience, all models except the base LX now come equipped with all-4 disc brakes. The EX, EXL, and Touring variants also benefit from the addition of wireless charging, plus wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For enhanced connectivity, the front boasts two type-A USB charging ports, while the rear offers two type-C USB ports.
In terms of infotainment and connectivity, Honda has upgraded the touchscreen system across the City range with sharper graphics, higher resolution, a new interface, and three unique wallpapers. The rear camera also gets a resolution boost for clearer visibility.
Depending on the chosen variant, drivers will have access to either a 4.2-inch or a 7-inch color TFT screen on the instrument console. Advanced features like Honda's LaneWatch for blind-spot monitoring are now standard on the higher-spec EXL and Touring variants.
The 2025 Honda City doesn't skimp on comfort, offering dual-zone automatic climate control exclusively with the Touring variants. Additionally, the myHonda Connect suite enhances the ownership experience for EXL and Touring variant owners.
Safety is also a priority, with the provision of 6 airbags across all variants, ensuring peace of mind for every occupant. Honda Sensing, available from the EX variant upwards, brings advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant, and automatic high beam switching, among others.
Under the hood, the 2025 City Sedan and Hatchback continue to rely on the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre flex-fuel engine, acclaimed for its fuel efficiency and emissions performance as per the Brazilian Labeling Program (PBE). This engine delivers a power output of 126 hp and offers torque figures of 155 Nm when running on ethanol and 152 Nm on gasoline, paired with a CVT gearbox for smooth acceleration.
Pricing for the base LX variants of the 2025 City Sedan and Hatchback starts at R$ 117,500 (Approx. Rs 17 lakh). The top-spec Touring variant of the new City Sedan is priced at R$ 142,400 (Rs 20.70 lakh), while the Hatchback's top variant comes slightly cheaper at R$ 141,400 (Rs 20.57 lakh), offering buyers a range of options based on their preferences and budget.
