New-Gen Kia Carnival Unofficial Bookings Open: Launch Details & More
Kia India is preparing to introduce two new models in the Indian vehicle market soon. The Kia EV9 will be a significant launch on the electric vehicle front. Additionally, the Carnival MPV is set for a new iteration, with its launch scheduled for October 3 this year. Select dealerships have already started taking unofficial bookings for the Kia Carnival.
The upcoming Carnival will feature a generational update, bringing numerous changes to both its exterior and interior. Recently, an undisguised fourth-generation Carnival was spotted at Delhi Airport. The white-coloured MPV revealed several design updates, including a revamped front grille, sleeker headlamps with LED units, and integrated LED daytime running lights.
New Kia Carnival: Key Expectations
The new generation Kia Carnival closely follows the KA4 model showcased during the Auto Expo in January last year. This fourth-generation model is already available in global markets under the name KA4. The updated design elements are expected to enhance its appeal significantly.
The new Kia Carnival MPV is anticipated to be priced around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It will be sold as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) model and offered as a fully loaded single variant. The MPV will be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, delivering 191 bhp of peak power and 441 Nm of maximum torque.
While the new Kia Carnival will compete directly with the premium Toyota Vellfire, it won't have any direct rivals in its segment. However, some buyers considering the top-spec Toyota Innova Hycross might also look at the Kia Carnival as an option.
