Maruti Suzuki New-Gen Swift
Maruti is all set to introduce its first launch of the year with the new-generation Swift. Sources pinpoint the launch date to 9th May 2024. The latest Swift model boasts an updated design featuring a new grille, LED headlamps, and blacked-out alloy wheels.
Inside, expect a floating infotainment system aligned with Maruti's recent models, new HVAC controls, rectangular AC vents, and fresh upholstery. The feature list is set to expand, including connected car technology, a blind spot warning, and wireless charging.
Powered by a new Z Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine, the next-gen Swift promises 80bhp and 108Nm of torque, with a focus on enhanced efficiency. Expect a price increase of Rs 70k to 80k for the new model.
Tata Altroz Racer
After a delay in April, the Tata Altroz Racer is now anticipated to launch in May. This model is exciting for Hot Hatchback fans, featuring a sporty exterior and the Nexon's 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. Options might include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
The interior sports an all-black theme with red stitching, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. Pricing is expected to fall between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
Force Gurkha 5-door
Force Motors teased the Gurkha in April, with the 5-door version's launch expected in May. This version will introduce subtle changes like different bumpers and an extended length for extra boot space.
The interior may feature a larger infotainment system and dashboard tweaks. Under the hood, the Gurkha will likely retain the 2.6-litre Mercedes-sourced diesel engine with more power than the outgoing model. This model will compete with the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door.
