Anticipated Diwali Car Launches In India: From Luxury To Electric Vehicles

Several car manufacturers, including Tata Motors, Hyundai, Kia, MG Motor, Mercedes, and Audi, are gearing up to introduce new models this festive season. The majority of these upcoming vehicles are SUVs, with a sedan and an MPV also set to debut. Notably, four of these new launches will be all-electric vehicles. Below is a list of the new cars along with their anticipated starting prices.

Tata Nexon CNG

Tata Motors is soon to reveal the prices for the CNG-powered compact SUV, the Nexon. This model will be the first factory-fitted CNG vehicle featuring a turbocharged engine. It will come with both manual and AMT automatic gearbox options. The expected price is around Rs 1 lakh more than its petrol counterpart.

Tata Curvv

The Tata Curvv will be available in both petrol and diesel variants, offering three engine options. Additionally, it will feature a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox option. The price range for this model is anticipated to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 22 lakh.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar will include enhanced features such as connected car technology and an ADAS suite. This update is expected to increase the price over the current Alcazar model, which ranges from Rs 16.78 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh.

MG Windsor

MG Motor India's next all-new model is the Windsor EV. This 5-seater electric car will feature reclining rear seats, a minimalist dashboard, and a floating infotainment touchscreen. The entry-level Windsor is expected to be priced under Rs 20 lakh.

Kia Carnival

Kia plans to launch the facelifted version of its Carnival MPV. This updated model will sport a more rugged look and a minimalistic interior design. It will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) with an estimated price tag of around Rs 50 lakh.

Audi Q6 e-tron

The Audi Q6 e-tron will be locally assembled in India and is expected to be priced at approximately Rs 85 lakh. It will feature a 100kWh battery pack that offers a range of up to 641km.

Mercedes E-Class

The sixth-generation long-wheelbase Mercedes E-Class aims to compete directly with the newly launched BMW 5 Series LWB. It will boast a multi-screen layout inside the cabin and is expected to have a starting price upwards of Rs 85 lakh.

Kia EV9

The Kia EV9 is an all-electric SUV with a large, boxy design and a tech-heavy three-row cabin. Its pricing will align with other premium electric SUVs like the BMW iX, Mercedes EQE SUV, and Audi Q8 e-tron.

Maybach EQS SUV

The Maybach EQS SUV will feature a dual-motor AWD setup delivering a combined output of 658hp and 950Nm torque. Powered by a 108.4kWh battery, it is expected to be priced around Rs 4 crore.

This festive season promises an exciting array of new vehicle launches across various segments, catering to diverse consumer preferences in India.
