TVR Garage Brings Classic British Sportscars Back To The US Market
A unique collection of British hand-built sports cars from the late 1990s is being reintroduced to American enthusiasts by TVR Garage. They aim to reignite interest in TVR products in the USA, using the 25-year EPA and NHTSA exemption process for imported vehicles. TVR Garage focuses on importing top-quality examples, whether classic or restored, offering a bespoke and personal service to its clients.
TVR Garage recently announced a partnership with Str8six, a leading TVR specialist in the UK. This collaboration ensures access to nearly two decades of expertise in engine building, servicing, race preparation, and spares sourcing. Based in Tucson, Arizona, with approved service locations in AZ, CA, and FL (exclusive to TVR Garage vehicle owners), they aim to provide comprehensive support to their customers.
The company was formally launched at Carmel Valley during Monterey Car Week in 2023. At this event, TVR Garage presented two classic specification 1997 TVR Cerberas finished in Rosso Pearl and Amethyst. The heart of the TVR Cerbera is the AJP8 motor, also known as the Speed Eight, designed by Alwyn Melling of MCD. This V8 engine comes in two forms: a 4,185 cc producing 360 bhp and a 4,475 cc producing 420 bhp.
With a pipeline of products spanning ten years, including models like the soon-to-be-eligible TVR Tuscan (Speed6), Tamora, T350, and Sagaris, an exciting future lies ahead for TVR Garage and its clients. Co-founder Gavin Bristow stated: "The TVR brand is a passion project for all at TVR Garage, born from a simple personal import to a young business bringing the oldest ‘new’ brand to US market."
Co-founder Andi Hughes added: "Our aim is to provide our customers with an ownership experience as unique as the clients themselves. TVR offers an unrivalled motoring experience that stirs all the senses. In a world of uninspiring EVs, we wish to offer dedicated driving enthusiasts a pure driving experience in their downtime."
Expanding Digital Presence
Additionally, TVR Garage has partnered with DuPont Registry and Classic.com to enhance its digital presence and reach new audiences. They also offer an online store supplying service kits, parts, and merchandise for all TVR owners in the USA and Canada.

TVR Garage’s efforts were recently featured on Jay Leno’s Garage YouTube program. Jay Leno had the opportunity to learn about the TVR Cerbera and take it for a drive on local roads in Burbank.
