TUAL Opens New Commercial Headquarters at Bicester Motion
Glasgow, UK, 17th June 2024 – TUAL, a leader in electric commercial-vehicle charging solutions, has inaugurated its new commercial headquarters at Bicester Motion in Oxfordshire, UK. This move marks a significant phase in TUAL’s expansion and highlights the growth of the Bicester mobility ecosystem.
The new Bicester Motion unit complements TUAL’s technical development and engineering centre and planned assembly line in Glasgow. This addition strengthens TUAL’s operational infrastructure as it continues its scale-up phase. The site is part of the wider Bicester Motion development, dedicated to advancing mobility across various eras.
TUAL’s new commercial site is located at The Station Armoury within Bicester Motion. Here, it joins other innovators in sustainable mobility, including Polestar, NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, Zapp, and Zero Petroleum. Bicester Motion is known for its robust environments for showcasing and testing advanced technology.

There is an urgent need for enterprise fleets and OEMs to adopt electric light commercial vehicles (eLCVs). Fleet contracts demand zero-emission vans, and regulatory pressures require vehicle manufacturers to deliver them. Current eLCV offerings do not meet fleet-operator needs, with driving-range and vehicle-charging challenges posing significant cost burdens.
With 40% of van use-cases exceeding real-world eLCV range and 70% of van drivers unable to charge at home or depot, lost productivity from charging downtime can cost fleets up to £150,000 per driver or vehicle over five years. TUAL’s modular powerbank solutions are designed to help enterprise fleets overcome these constraints.
