Tresa Motors Reveals VO.2 Electric Truck: Aimed To Promote EV Adoption
Indian EV manufacturer Tresa Motors has revealed the VO.2 electric truck. The Tresa Motors Vo.2 is only a prototype, expected to be ready for launch in the Indian domestic market by 2026.
Unlike most modern vehicles that use hundreds of ECUs to control their systems, the Tresa VO.2 is equipped with a Centralised Computing Unit (CCU) that monitors over 500 points all around the truck, providing consistent safety and performance.

The Tresa VO.2 is powered by a 300kWh battery which is capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Tresa Motors claims that the VO.2 is equipped to do ranges up to 350km on a single charge. The VO.2 will be using the first truly immersive self-contained battery pack modules with an IP rating of IP69 – “Meg50”.
These battery modules can be customized depending on the payload and range, offering flexibility to the customer. The driver of the truck is also seated in a central position with a suspended seat adding to additional comfort.

Apart from the battery, the VO.2 is built on the Axial Flux Platform Flux 350 which is a motor that offers increased power density, better cooling capabilities, and improved efficiency and flexibility, in a small form factor. The Tresa VO.2 is capable of putting out 24,000Nm of torque with a top speed of 120km/h.
Tresa Motors aims to offer a compelling price alternative with the advantage of lower cost per kilometre than conventional ICE vehicles. Tresa Motors CEO, Rohan Shravan stated, “We are excited to announce the launch of Model VO.2. Built on our Delta-Engineering philosophy, VO.2 is a major internal release where we get to test and monitor all of our components on the road. This is also where we feel that we can optimise our heat pump and make it our key IP along with our motor and battery.”

The air pollution levels in India are at an all-time high with how populated cities and the country as a whole are getting. And we have all seen trucks and buses chucking out coal on the streets every time they pull away from a signal. With brands like Tresa offering premium electric trucks in India, it will prove to be hugely beneficial to the environment and to the Nation as a whole.
