Toyota And Revel Collaborate To Provide Complimentary DC Fast Charging For Electric Vehicle Customers In New York City
Toyota Motor North America and Revel have partnered to offer Toyota and Lexus electric vehicle owners free access to Revel's fast charging stations in New York City. This agreement will last until October 14, 2027, providing a significant benefit for battery electric vehicle (BEV) customers. Revel operates the largest network of public fast charging stations in the city, ensuring convenient access for drivers.
Revel currently manages 64 fast charging stalls across four locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. The Pier 36 Charging Station in downtown Manhattan is one of these sites, equipped with ten 320 kW chargers. Revel plans to expand its network to 300 stalls within a year, including a large station in Maspeth, Queens, and another near LaGuardia Airport.

Frank Reig, CEO of Revel, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Toyota. "Revel is proud to build on our strategic collaboration with Toyota to accelerate urban EV adoption. As we expand our charging network in New York and California, we are excited to create more opportunities for Toyota and Lexus drivers to charge fast and, starting now, charge free," he stated.
Toyota Ventures initially invested in Revel in 2019. This investment supports Revel's expansion efforts and allows Toyota to explore new charging program opportunities. Christopher Yang from Toyota highlighted the importance of seamless charging experiences for customer satisfaction. "Charging should be a seamless experience and is crucial for customer satisfaction," he said.
The partnership aligns with Toyota's goals of promoting electric vehicle adoption through enhanced customer convenience. By offering complimentary access to Revel’s network, Toyota aims to encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles.

Revel is also expanding beyond New York City with seven sites under development in the Bay Area. Additionally, they have signed their first lease in downtown Los Angeles. These expansions reflect Revel’s commitment to supporting urban areas' transition towards zero-emission transportation solutions.
Toyota has been part of North America's cultural landscape for over 65 years. The company employs more than 63,000 people across the continent and operates 13 manufacturing plants. By 2025, a new plant in North Carolina will begin producing automotive batteries for electrified vehicles.
Founded in Brooklyn in 2018, Revel focuses on facilitating cities' shift towards zero-emission futures. It leads public EV fast charging efforts in New York City while operating the only all-electric rideshare platform nationwide.
