Toyota RAV4 Spotted Testing On Delhi-Meerut Expressway: All Details Here
Toyota Motor has had serious success in its Hybrid SUV segment in the Indian market. The RAV4 hybrid, Toyota’s top-selling SUV in global markets which is expected to make its way to Toyota’s line-up in India, was seen being tested on the roads of Delhi.
Toyota Motor, with the introduction of Hybrid VehicleS in the company's line-up, has experienced huge success with models like the Innova HyCross and the Urban Cruiser HyRyder, which are currently on sell in the Indian market.

The RAV4 has been seen in India before being tested. This time, the test vehicle had stickers stating that it was “ON TEST BY ARAI”. Automotive Research Association of India, also known as ARAI is a testing and evaluating establishment for new electric and hybrid vehicles in the Indian market.
The RAV4 is offered with two electric motor options in global markets which is paired with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 200bhp and about 250Nm of peak torque.
Toyota is using the same tried-and-tested Hybrid Synergy Drive Technology in the RAV4, developed by Toyota Motor, which is used in other Toyota models like the Camry and the Prius in global markets.

Toyota states that the Hybrid Synergy Drive technology helps to switch between driving modes and to quickly adapt to different driving conditions by allowing the driver to help the car to set up the perfect power control and delivery.
The Hybrid Synergy Drive technology also aims at reducing emissions and creating a cleaner and more eco-friendly environment, for example, if stopped at a signal, the car can solely run on the electric motors and shut off the combustion engine, preventing the car from sitting and emitting fumes into the air.
In terms of dimensions, the RAV4 stands at 1685mm in height, 1855mm in width and 4600mm in length which for reference is larger than the Urban Cruiser HyRyder which stands at 1645mm in height, 1795mm in width and 4365mm in length.
