Toyota Corolla FX Edition Adds Sporty Flair To 2025 Lineup
The 2025 Toyota Corolla family is expanding with the introduction of the new Corolla FX special edition. This model pays tribute to the sporty Corolla FX16 from 1987, adding a modern twist to its design. The Corolla FX, based on the SE grade, features a distinctive rear spoiler and 18-inch satin-black alloy wheels with machined accents and black lug nuts.
Additional exterior enhancements include a blacked-out roof, black badging, and black mirror caps, contributing to its sporty appearance. Built on the TNGA-C platform, the Corolla FX boasts a super-rigid structure, low center of gravity, and Independent MacPherson-type strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar for improved handling and ride comfort.
The Corolla FX is equipped with standard lowering springs for an aggressive stance and tuned Electric Power Steering for a sporty driving experience. Under the hood, it houses a 2.0L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine, delivering 169 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque. The model also offers an estimated 34 combined MPG rating.
Inside, the Corolla FX features Moonstone sport fabric seats with orange stitching and debuts the 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia screen, which will be standard in this model but available on other 2025 Corolla variants. It also includes a 7-inch multi-information display and a wireless charger from the XSE trim.
Safety is a priority with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 coming standard on the Corolla FX. The special edition will be available in Midnight Black Metallic, Ice Cap, and Underground colours. Both Ice Cap and Underground models will feature a Midnight Black Metallic roof.
Customers can expect the Corolla FX to arrive at Toyota dealerships in Fall 2024. Further details and pricing for the 2025 Corolla FX Special Edition and the complete 2025 Corolla lineup will be announced later this year.
