Top Upcoming SUVs Launching In Early 2025: Maruti Suzuki To MG
The SUV market in India is set to expand further with several new models expected to launch in early 2025. This trend reflects the global shift towards SUVs, which has impacted the sales of hatchbacks and sedans. Indian road conditions have also contributed to this growing demand, prompting manufacturers to introduce more SUV options.
Mahindra XEV 7e
Among the anticipated releases is Mahindra's XEV 7e, an electric version of the XUV700. Built on the INGLO platform, it will feature a dual motor setup for four-wheel drive capabilities. The interior will include third-row seating and a captain chair option in the second row, similar to the XEV 9e's triple screen dashboard.

Kia Syros
Kia plans to unveil its new Syros SUV on December 19th, with showroom availability expected in early 2025. The design hints at influences from Hyundai Casper and Kia's K4 sedan. While specific details about its size and powertrains remain unknown, it promises a feature-rich experience.
New MG Gloster
MG is preparing to challenge Toyota Fortuner with its new Gloster model. Resembling the globally sold Maxus Territory, this large SUV will offer robust off-road capabilities. It includes three locking differentials, a ladder-frame chassis, and a twin-turbo diesel engine producing up to 213 bhp and 478.5 Nm torque.

Hyundai Creta EV
The electric variant of Hyundai's popular Creta is slated for a January 2025 release. Inspired by the Ioniq range, it will feature a fresh interior design with unique elements like quad-dots on the steering wheel. A single-motor front-wheel-drive system will provide an estimated range of around 500 km per charge.
Tata Harrier EV
Tata Motors is also entering the electric SUV segment with models like Harrier EV and Safari EV. These vehicles have been spotted testing multiple times. The Harrier EV will likely have a rear electric motor for a dual-motor four-wheel-drive setup, marking Tata's return to rear-wheel power after Hexa.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara and Toyota Urban Crossover
Suzuki's collaboration with Toyota extends into electric vehicles with the introduction of eVitara. This model will be produced at Maruti's Gujarat plant alongside Toyota's Urban Crossover counterpart. Both are expected to debut at the 2025 Auto Expo before launching early that year, featuring large batteries and dual motor setups.
DriveSpark Thinks
While these SUVs are confirmed for early 2025 launches, other models like Kia Seltos' new generation or Renault Duster may arrive later. Additionally, Nissan Terrano, Ariya, Renault Kiger EV, Nissan Magnite seven-seater are among those being tested but not expected soon.
