Top 5 Upcoming Skoda Cars In India: Caters To Much Wider Audience
Skoda is experiencing steady growth in the Indian market, but customers have limited options. To address this, Skoda is working on a range of new products for India. Let's take a look at five upcoming Skoda cars for the Indian market.
Skoda Sub-4m SUV
Skoda is developing a sub-4 metre SUV to compete with models like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. This SUV is almost ready and could make its debut by the end of 2024. It will be based on a downsized version of the MQB A0 IN platform used in the Kushaq. The design and specifications are expected to be similar to the Kushaq.

The SUV may feature a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, capable of producing 113bhp and 178Nm of torque. It could also come with a 10-inch infotainment system, electric sunroof, ventilated seats, and a digital instrument cluster. The expected price range for Skoda's compact SUV is between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
New Skoda Superb
The Superb has been a successful model for Skoda in India, making it an aspirational brand in the country. Skoda has launched the new-generation Superb globally, and we anticipate its arrival in India. The new Superb boasts a sharper design and is 43mm longer than its predecessor.

Inside, it offers features such as a 13-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, wireless charging, level-2 ADAS, and park assist. In India, we can expect the Superb to continue with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a DSG gearbox. Skoda is likely to introduce the new Superb next year.
Skoda Octavia vRS
After the Superb, Skoda may bring the Octavia vRS to India. This performance-oriented model is popular among enthusiasts. Skoda is currently evaluating its launch in limited numbers through the CBU route. The Octavia vRS features a blacked-out front grille and a sharp headlamp design.

Under the hood, it is equipped with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 241bhp and 400Nm of torque. With the battery pack, the RS iV has an electric range of 60km. Due to its CBU status, it is expected to be priced around Rs 45 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
New Skoda Kodiaq
Another new Skoda car unveiled this year is the Kodiaq. Like the Superb, the new Kodiaq has grown in size, being 61mm longer than its predecessor. It features the traditional Skoda grille with sharp LED headlamps and connected tail lamps. Inside, there is a new dashboard layout and a 12.9-inch infotainment screen.

Other features include powered front seats, a digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. In India, only the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine from the current Kodiaq is expected to be offered. The new Kodiaq is set to launch in the second half of 2025, with an estimated price range of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 55 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Skoda Enyaq iV
The Enyaq has been undergoing testing in India and is expected to be launched in 2024. It features a distinctive design with a grille reminiscent of Skoda's internal combustion engine cars. The Enyaq '80x' variant, which comes with a 77kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 513km (WLTP), is likely to be offered in India.

It offers a range of features including a 13-inch infotainment system, leather upholstery, and an all-digital instrument cluster. The Enyaq is expected to be priced between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and is set to launch by March 2024.
