Top 5 Upcoming Car Launches In October: Magnite Facelift To New E-Class LWB

The Indian automotive sector witnessed a flurry of activity in September with launches like the Tata Curvv, Curvv EV, Hyundai Alcazar, and Citroen Basalt. October promises to continue this momentum with several significant car launches on the horizon.

Kia Carnival

Kia is set to introduce two major models on October 3. The updated Kia Carnival will be available in Limousine and Limousine Plus trims, both powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Carnival will feature a new design, including a wider grille and vertically stacked LED headlamps.

The Carnival's exterior will come in Black and White colours, featuring power-sliding doors for convenience. New 18-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillamps enhance its modern look. As a Completely Built Unit (CBU), it is expected to be priced between ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia EV9

Alongside the Carnival, Kia will launch its flagship electric SUV, the EV9. This premium model will be available as a CBU in a single GT-Line all-wheel-drive variant. Priced around ₹1 crore (ex-showroom), it boasts 383 bhp and 700 Nm of torque with a 99.8 kWh battery pack offering a range of 561km.

The EV9 is equipped with advanced technology such as dual screens featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes ambient lighting, a digital key, dual electric sunroofs, and a 14-speaker Meridian sound system.

Nissan Magnite Facelift

Nissan plans to unveil the facelifted Magnite on October 4. The refreshed model will feature subtle design updates to its bumpers, grille, and light clusters based on spy images of test vehicles. Teasers have highlighted updated tail lights while retaining the signature L-shaped DRLs on the bumpers.

The interior of the Magnite facelift is expected to receive several enhancements as well. Under the hood, it will continue with its existing engine lineup: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

BYD eMAX 7

BYD is set to launch an updated version of its popular electric MPV, rebranded as the eMAX 7, on October 8. This refreshed model will offer exterior design upgrades along with flexible seating configurations for six or seven passengers.

The eMAX 7 will include amenities like a panoramic sunroof and possibly a larger touchscreen for an enhanced experience. Performance improvements are anticipated with potential inclusion of a more powerful motor similar to that used in BYD's global M6 model.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB

On October 9, Mercedes-Benz will introduce the sixth generation E-Class LWB in India. Available in two variants - E 200 and E 220d - it offers both petrol and diesel engines options at an expected price of around Rs. 80 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Indian automotive industry continues to thrive with these exciting launches scheduled for October, promising consumers diverse choices across various segments from luxury sedans to electric SUVs.
