Top 10 SUVs In February 2024 – Everybody Now Seems To Love SUVs

The automobile industry in India is experiencing huge year-on-year growth when it comes to passenger vehicles, especially when considering the SUV segment. The SUV segment with 49% of all passenger vehicle car sales in 2023 which was 41% up from 2011.

February 2024 experienced 36.8% or 35,204 units, growth in sales with 1,32,243 units sold as compared to February 2023 which had 97,039 total units sold. The list of Top 10 SUVs ranges between multiple car manufacturers like Tata Motor, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia.

Tata Punch (18,438 units)

At the top of the list, we have the Tata Punch in first place with a massive 65.08% growth in sales in February 2024 compared to February 2023. The previous year had sales of 11,169 units whereas in February 2024, the Punch took home the gold with 18,438 units sold and a 13.94% share in the top 10 charts.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza (15,765 units)

Maruti Suzuki take second place with the Brezza having 15,765 units sold in February of 2024 which is on power with their 2023 sales which has 15,787, just 22 units more than this year.

Hyundai Creta (15,276 units)

The Creta has experienced a growth of 46.59% in its year-by-year sales when compared to the 10,412 cars sold in February 2023, having sold 15,276 units in February 2024 which is 11.55% of the top 10 list.

Mahindra Scorpio/ Scorpio N (15,051 units)

At number four, we have the Mahindra Scorpio/ N takes which sold 15,051 units, holding 11.38% of the top 10 charts in February 2024. A 116.56% growth from February 2023’s 6,950 units sold.

Tata Nexon (14,395 units)

In the number five spot, we have the Tata Nexon, which used to be at the top of the list, and currently holds 10.89% of the top 10 list with a 3.46% growth from February the previous year having sold 14,395 cars in February 2024.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx (14,168 units)

The Maruti Fronx, the stylish newcomer holds the Sixth spot on the list. With the fronx’s rise to fame only being on sale since April 2023, logged 14,168 units sold in February 2024 and holds 10.71% of the top 10 list.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (11,002 units)

In seventh place, we have the Maruti G Vitara which had 11,002 units sold in February 2024 which was a 19.81% growth over the previous year which had 9,183 units sold. The G Vitara holds 8.32% of the top 10 charts.

Mahindra Bolero (10,113 units)

The Mahindra Bolero sold 10,113 units in February 2024 and currently accounts for 7.65% of the top 10 chart. This is a 3.38% increase in sales for Mahindra when compared to February 2023 which has 9,782 units sold.

Kia Sonet (9,102 units)

At number nine we have the Kia Sonet which has decreased in sales when compared to February 2023. 9,102 units of the Kia Sonet were sold in February 2024 which is -7.46% of the 9,836 units sold in the previous year.

Hyundai Venue (8,933 units)

The Hyundai Venue at number 10 has experienced a decrease in sales, with 8,933 units being sold in February 2024 as compared to the 9,997 units sold the previous year which is -10.64% lower.
